A work book and handbook designed for the Agastya International Foundation, an educational trust and not-for-profit organization based out of Bangalore. These books accompany their 'Banao Bus' - a mobile van that travels from school to school, conducting workshops to expose students and their teachers to the joys and benefits of a Maker mindset.

 

The maker movement celebrated learning focussed around making things by hand. In keeping with the spirit of the movement, the layouts were liberally peppered with clay illustrations, and textures of notebook and construction paper - giving both books a sense of tactility and depth, and a kind of wonderful imperfection that is just such an intrinsic aspect of human-made things.
